According to the 2023 passenger traffic statistics, Charlotte Douglas International Airport (IATA: CLT) was one of the busiest airports in the United States, ranking 9th between the busiest airports in the US by passengers traffic. It handles more than 180 destinations, including international daily flights. CLT airport serves as the American Airlines' second-largest hub after Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

The airport is open 24 hours a day and has one Main Terminal and five Concourses: A (15 gates), B (9 gates), C (12 gates), D (6 gates for international flights), E (29 gates). All five concourses at Charlotte Douglas International Airport are connected to the central terminal building, which houses ticketing, security, and baggage claim. Parking lots are well connected with the Concourses by a 24/7 shuttle service.

Cats Sprinter Bus Service

Sprinter is the express bus that serves the route Charlotte Airport – downtown via Wilkinson Boulevard. It runs to the city centre in just 30 minutes from 05:30 am to 12:55 pm, every 30 minutes. Holidays may vary. 


Taxi Services and Rideshare

Licensed Taxi Stands (identified by a decal on the vehicle door) are available at the curbside on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim level, with an attendant on duty to assist passengers from 6:45 a.m. to 12:15 a.m. 


Car rental

The Rental Car Center at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) brings together eight rental car companies in a single facility located in the Level 2 lobby of the Hourly Deck, directly in front of the terminal.
