Parking at CLT airport

Charlotte Douglas International Airport has several parking options: The free Cell Phone Lot, Long Term Lot 1, Long Term Lot 2, Hourly Deck, Daily Decks, Daily North Lot, Express Deck Preferred, Express Deck Self Park. Valet options are available as well as Disabled parking. Wheelchair access to all terminals. Should wheelchair assistance be required, the passenger must contact the airline in advance to make arrangements.

Drop Off, Pick Up and Valet Parking

Passengers can be picked up and dropped off curbside, but vehicles cannot be left unattended. Unattended vehicles may be towed from all lanes on the upper level (Departures/Ticketing) and lower level (Arrivals/Baggage Claim). The curbside is strictly for immediate pick-ups and drop-offs.

To reduce roadway congestion, consider dropping off passengers on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim level or picking up passengers on the Departures/Ticketing level.

Pick Up

Cell Phone Lot - Visitors picking up passengers are encouraged to use the free Cell Phone Lot. Wait in your vehicle and have your passenger call or text when they have their luggage, then drive to the terminal’s lower level (Arrivals/Baggage Claim) to pick them up.

For those who prefer to meet passengers inside the terminal, the closest parking option is the Hourly Deck, with spaces available on levels 4-7. Walkways from the Level 2 elevator lobbies provide easy access to and from the terminal. Check parking availability in the Hourly Deck and other CLT parking facilities.

Avoid circling the Airport roadway or parking on the side of the road while waiting for arriving passengers.

Dropp Off

Passengers can be dropped off curbside on the upper level (Departures/Ticketing). If you wish to park and accompany the passenger into the terminal, the most convenient option is the Hourly Deck, with parking spaces available on levels 4-7. Walkways from the Level 2 elevator lobbies provide access to and from the terminal.

Valet

The drop off and pick up zone is on Level 1 of the Hourly Deck. Valet attendants park vehicles and offer complimentary luggage assistance upon request. Car wash and vehicle maintenance services are available.

Valet Parking Rate: $45 daily max*

Hours: 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Upon your return to CLT, call 704-629-8111 or go to the booth at the new lower level terminal lobby entrance to the underground walkway, and your vehicle will be delivered.

Hourly Deck

The Hourly Deck offers parking within walking distance of the terminal. Parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, unless reserved online. For Reservation Entry: Halt your vehicle at the gate arm and wait a few seconds for the license plate to be scanned, which will open the gate. If the gate arm remains closed, use the QR code from your booking confirmation

Hourly spaces are available on Levels 4-7. EV Charging Stations available on Levels 4, 5 and 6.

Levels 1-3 of the Deck are designated for the Rental Car Facility.

Hourly Deck parking rates: Free/first 15 min | $8/hour first day | $32 Daily Max *

Daily Decks

The Daily Decks are situated to the left as you approach the terminal, on Josh Birmingham Parkway. Follow the signs for Parking/Daily/Hourly and keep left to enter the Daily parking area. Complimentary shuttle service is provided to and from the shelter between the two decks.

Parking spaces can be only reserved online or by the CLT airport app. For Entry, stop your vehicle at the gate arm and wait a few seconds for the license plate to be scanned. If the gate arm does not open, use the QR code from your booking confirmation.

Daily Decks parking rates: $20 Daily Max *

Daily North Lot

The Daily North lot is situated is located to the left as passengers approach the terminal, on Josh Birmingham Parkway, between Long Term Lot 2 and the Daily Decks. Complimentary shuttle service is provided to and from shelters in the lot.

Daily North Lot parking rates: $14 Daily Max *

Long Term Lot 1

The entrance to the lot is located just south of the Cell Phone Lot. As you approach the terminal, Long Term Lot 1 is situated to the right, on Josh Birmingham Parkway. Complimentary shuttle service is provided to and from the shelter in the lot.

Parking spaces can be only reserved online or by the CLT airport app. For Entry, stop your vehicle at the gate arm and wait a few seconds for the license plate to be scanned. If the gate arm does not open, use the QR code from your booking confirmation.

Long Term Parking Zones: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H

Long Term Lot 2

Express Deck Preferred

Express Deck Preferred is located at the corner of Wilkinson Boulevard and Harlee Avenue (entrance on Harlee Ave.). Designated Express Deck shuttles offer non-stop service to and from Zone 2 on the terminal's lower level. Upon your return to Charlotte, exit through the Baggage Claim/Lower Level doors and head to the Zone 2 Express Deck shuttle stop.

Booking online or through the CLT airport app is not required but will guarantee you a parking space and save you money.

Valet Parking service is available (including luggage assistance). Upon your return to CLT, call 704-559-9482 to have your vehicle ready when you arrive at the Deck. Other services include: EV Charging Stations, car wash and vehicle maintenance services.

Express Deck Preferred parking rates: $24 Daily Max *

Express Deck Self-Park

Express Deck Self-Park is situated on Harlee Avenue, next to the intersection with Wilkinson Boulevard. Designated Express Deck shuttles offer non-stop service to and from Zone 2 on the terminal's lower level. Upon your return to CLT airport, exit through the Baggage Claim/Lower Level doors and head to the Zone 2 Express Deck shuttle stop.

Transportation between Parking garages and Concourses

Shuttles

Travelers can catch a shuttle at various parking shelters in Long Term Lots 1 and 2. Shuttle service is also available at the shelter between the Daily Decks and from the Express Deck Preferred. Upon returning, all shuttle buses can be found on the inner lanes outside the terminal’s lower level (Arrivals/Baggage Claim).

Shuttle buses operate 24/7, providing free transportation between parking facilities and the terminal. They run every 10 to 15 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Anyway, in case you need the shuttle service after 11 p.m., please call 704-359-4038 to ensure a shuttle bus is available.

Parking spaces designated for passengers with disabilities are available in all airport parking facilities
